I’ll be presenting advice and suggestions for “navigating” through the changing world of work.  You’ll learn what the FUTURE TRENDS are/will be in the FUTURE WORLD OF WORK.  Information on the types of new industries, companies, jobs and positions that you may need to know about to stay relevant and the types of skills and potentially NEW WAYS OF THINKING that can help you qualify for the new jobs that will replace the old ones.

Ottawa University in Brookfield is opening its doors on Saturday, October 3, for this event from 9:00am to Noon. The event is for anyone interested in receiving advice on updating their resume, networking, shifting careers or guidance in career transitions, future work trends, or entrepreneurial consulting. Human resource professionals, faculty, advisors, and small business owners make presentations related to seeking a new job, preparing for a new career and future work trends that will affect the types of jobs available.

 “Ottawa University is pleased to give anyone in the community that needs a helping hand an opportunity to make themselves more marketable – free of charge,” said OU-Wisconsin Campus Executive Dr. Robin Ware. “In these difficult economic times, we realize that more than just our students need an opportunity to succeed. That’s why we are so excited to be able to invite the public to take part in Ottawa University’s Career Tune-Up.”

 Attendees will also receive tips on improving their job interview skills, appropriate attire for interviews and producing custom-designed business cards.
